Introducing the Esoteric theme for WordPress
Esoteric was created with musicians and songwriters in mind. On the surface Esoteric looks very much like the Pyrmont V2 theme it was created from. Under the surface there have been some useful improvements. Esoteric contains a theme options panel as well as attractive icon set created by Clay Cauley at http://claycauleyinc.deviantart.com. Clay Cauley created two extra Black Button icons for this theme, LastFM and Soundclick. Esoteric contains the Yahoo Media Player along with the Fehrenbacher scripts to make a musician running his or her website easier. All you do is simply add a link to an mp3 file on your post or page and it will automatically load the media player. If you don’t want to use the built-in Yahoo Media Player all you need to do is turn it off in the theme’s option panel. Twitter integration is already built into the theme. No need for a plugin. You can even choose to show your latest tweet above the posts. WP-pagenavi is a very popular plugin for many WordPress users. If you are using the WP-pagenavi plugin you can select an option in the themes option page to load a matching stylesheet for Esoteric. I’ve even included some built-in shortcodes that I personally find useful. Below you will find so shots of the theme, features and the included shortcodes.

Support for the Esoteric theme can be found at the support forum. I’d like to thank http://imotta.cn/ for putting all the hard work into creating the Pyrmont V2 theme because this wouldn’t be possible without it. I’d also like to thank Clay Cauley for the Black Button image set used in this theme as well as for the extra work put into creating the extra icons I requested.
